By squeezing the forcep together, the needle penetrates the toe/foot pad, ear or tail of the animal and injects a deposit of green paste in the animal. This method is humane, permanent, rapid, economical, and allows unique identification of large numbers of rodents.

A complete kit includes one Micro-tattoo Instrument, 1 oz tube of Green Tattoo Paste, one Stainless Steel Planchette, one Plastic Holding Case and two test Hypodermic Needles.
