Price on Request
Fully modular Habitest configuration for active and passive Avoidance experiments in rodents. With Habitest, users can create an endless variety of test environments, instantly and seamlessly reconfiguring for an endless variety of experimental modalities.
- Robust system
- Maximum flexibility
- Modular design for economical and re-configurable options
- Wide range of stimulus response sensors
Habitest is designed to make possible to implement most behavioral test protocols in a single system of modular test arenas using modular stimulus and responses devices.
The Habitest shuttle package provides all the options needed for running standard and active and passive avoidance paradigms.
The Shuttle Cages Package for active avoidance includes 1 drop pan, 1 shock floor, 2 photocell sensors pairs and 1 barrier/doorway. Blank modules are ordered separately for filling the cage.
Standard shuttle cages may be blacked-out using a black, removable "static-cling" film (H10.19F) which you can cut to size. The advantage is that you may remove this film if you want to use the cage with clear walls later on.
The Passive Avoidance Cage Package is composed of the shuttle package plus a guillotine door, a bright ceiling-mount light, a blank panel set and a painted-black left compartment.
The system can be extended to any Habitest modules, so to create an endless variety of test environments, instantly and seamlessly reconfiguring for an endless variety of experimental modalities. With the addition of stimuli, feeders and response sensors, the cage is useful for many other applications. For example, you can use it as a two-compartment cage for place preference or operant studies.
