Full Description Back to Top

Applications:
• Transformation of Bacteria and Yeast
• Limited Transfection of Mammalian Cells

ECONOMICAL
An excellent alternative to chemical transfection.

SIMPLE
Three-step operation: switch on, dial-in voltage and deliver pulse.

COMPACT
Saves valuable laboratory space with its compact size and is portable.

The ECM 399 is an exponential decay wave electroporation system specifically designed to deliver the field strengths and pulse lengths required for the simple transformation of bacterial and yeast cells. In low voltage mode the ECM 399 has been used for limited transfections of mammalian cells.

The ECM 399 is ideal for basic transformation in research and academic environments. It is easy to operate, cost effective, compact in size, and portable.

The ECM 399 comes complete with the PEP (Personal Electroporation Pack) but is also compatible with the BTX Cuvette Safety Stand (45-0207).

Monitoring Option
The New VIP 3000 allows monitoring and tracking of key electrical parameters used in electroporation. When used with the optional communications module, parameters can be downloaded to a computer or printer for documentation.
