This heavy duty swivel holder bolts to the top of the cage and allows all of Harvard/Instech’s industry-standard infusion swiv-els to be used with dogs, monkeys, and other large animals. This Adapter was specifically designed to work with the 61-0005 Single Channel 17 Gauge or 61-0010 Dual Channel 17 Gauge Swivel. These are the recommended swivels for large animals which typically require 17 gauge channels.
This Adapter features phenolic and glass ball bearings which transfer the forces from the animal to the cage, thus protecting the swivel and cannulae. For cleaning, simply remove the swivel and stainless steel posts and send the rest of it through a cage washer. It’s that simple. The mount couples directly with standard 0.5 inch ID large tethers.
