• New dual channel swivel that is truly suited for microdialysis in mice • Setting the industry standard for 25 years • Lifetime warranty on single channel swivels • Fully autoclavable • A variety of sizes • Tether included • Custom swivels available by special order
Introducing the latest breakthrough in swivel technology, the new 72-0000 Dual Channel Microdialysis Swivel for Mice! The torque required to rotate this remarkable new swivel is even lower than our 56-1324 Single Channel Swivel, making it the first dual channel swivel that can be used with mice. (See chart below.) Furthermore, it has quartz lining on both channels, making it the ultimate microdialysis swivel for mice, rats or any other small animal! The swivel, a device that rotates to keep the cannula from tangling, is a critical part of any continuous animal infusion system. The Harvard/Instech Fluid Swivels have been in laboratory use for more than 30 years and have earned a reputation as the finest in the industry. Every swivel is precision machined to ensure ease of rotation, durability and reliability. The design minimizes internal dead volume and eliminates stagnant regions along the fluid path. Fluids passing through the swivel touch only stainless steel tubing and special self-adjusting Teflon seals. The 61-0004 Dual Channel 22 Gauge Swivel, designed specifically for microdialysis in rats, has a quartz-lined center channel to reduce dead volume and prevent oxidization of neurotransmitters. These Swivels are fully autoclavable and can be reused hundreds of times. In fact, our single channel swivel is so durable that it comes with a lifetime warranty! Our standard swivels are typically used with rats and mice, but work with rabbits, guinea pigs and, with a strain relief, larger animals as well. Each swivel includes a Universal Swivel-to-Tether Clamp, see page B6, that connects to all of our standard spring tethers. The standard swivels are manufactured in a variety of sizes, a few of which are listed below.
