Instant Heat Packs
These heat packs combine a non-toxic and environmentally safe salt solution with a patented “trigger disk” in a vinyl enclosure. Flexing the disk activates the heat pack by triggering the solution to crystallize. This exothermic reaction peaks at 130°F within 5 seconds and maintains this temperature for approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of pack and the environment. Heat packs can easily be “recharged” for repeated use by boiling, which returns the solution to a fluid state. With proper care they can be reused approximately 150 times.

Four sizes of heat packs are available. The small size is ideal for small animal surgical recovery, raising veins or warming small areas. The medium, large and extra-large packs can be used for maintaining body temperature during surgical procedures, surgical recovery and as a temporary incubator for neonates. The medium, large and extra-large sizes are also provided with a terry pouch with Velcro straps for securing. This pouch can be dampened when the application of moist heat is needed or it can be used for comfort and fastening.
