Timer Controlled Magnetic Stirerrs
HI 322N and HI 324N incorporate a timer control that will turn the motor off after the selected amount of time. The time is adjustable from 5 minutes to 2 hours. This feature allows the user to carry out other tasks without worrying about over or under stirring. These units are heavy-duty stirrers. HI 322N and HI 324N can stir up to 5.0 liters (1.3 gallons), making them ideal for laboratory and production use. Electronic controls are incorporated into these stirrers and allow the user to regulate the speed with greater precision. In addition to the speed control, a limiter will assure that the maximum speed will never be exceeded.

Often, in the lab, a sample is removed from the stirrer before reducing the speed. This would cause the motor in common stirrers to accelerate until it is destroyed. Hanna stirrers incorporate a VCO device that will stop the motor from accelerating as soon as the load is removed. In addition HI 322N and HI 324N have an automatic feedback feature with HI324N boasting also an LCD tachometer. The motor is electronically controlled to maintain the chosen speed as the load changes. If the viscosity or the level increases or decreases, the circuitry will adjust the output power. The RPM display guarantees repeatability in QC tests and research by constantly displaying the RPMs.
• Timer Control: A built-in timer will shut the stirrer off when the pre-selected period of time has passed.
• RPM Display: QC stations and labs must be able to repeat tests and processes. In order to do this, the specifications must be clear at all times. With HI 324N, RPMs can be monitored and noted for future testing.
• Automatic Feedback: Both stirrers include an exclusive device that will maintain a constant speed as the load varies (due to increased or decreased viscosity or volume).
• Safety: An internal, electronic speed control device will limit the maximum speed to 1000 RPMs, even if the load is suddenly removed (Speedsafe).
HI 322N and HI 324N are supplied complete with a 50 mm (2 in) long (dia. 7 mm/0.3 in) Teflon® coated magnetic stir bar and instruction manual.
