Intralux light sources have represented the best in Fiber Optic Cold Light Illumination the world for over 25 years. They provide reliable, dependable, high-intensity cold halogen light for use with all Volpi fiber optic components in microscopy applications.
The Intralux Series is equipped with the most advanced features and highest quality components available. It includes InfraRed Reflecting Filters to ensure the coldest light possible and the unique patented Crescent Shaped Diaphragm, which provides constant color temperature and light emitting angle, and continuous intensity adjustment.
All of these light sources feature a filter slot for easily interchangeable color and daylight conversion filter capability. Three models are available to choose from. The IX 4000-1 is a 90W unit providing 320,000 footcandles of illumination and a 1000-hour lamp life. The IX 5000-1 is a 150W unit providing 450,000 footcandles of illumination and a 800-hour lamp life. The IX 6000-1 represents the top-of-the-line in features with both a high and a low voltage setting to choose from, providing 670,000 and 370,000 footcandles of illumination respectively. Lamp life ranges from 100 hours on the high setting to 1400 hours on the low setting.
