These Silastic® Catheters are the first externalized catheters designed specifically to address the problems inherent to rodent and small animal catheterization. They are manufactured with unique features that make them the logical choice for routine animal catheterization.
The Catheters are made of Silastic®, a soft biocompatible medical grade silicone rubber that reduces clotting and vessel trauma during insertion.
The Catheter has two positional retention rings to facilitate anchoring within or outside the vessel. A reinforced sleeve provides protection and alleviates exit site kinking. This Catheter is available in three sizes. Each Catheter has a polycarbonate female Luer fitting.
These Catheters are 45 cm (18 in) long and can be easily trimmed if a shorter length is required. They are available individually or in a package of 10.
