Multichannel Epithelial Voltage Clamps (VCC-MC)
The VCC-MC family of epithelial voltage/current clamps are ideal instruments for use with multichannel chamber systems. Configurations range from 2 to 8 amplifiers. These systems integrate fully with the Acquire and Analyze software package.

1. Select System
Each system includes chamber stand; chambers; chamber caps; air valves; electrodes; electrode tips; filling needles; gas washing bottle; thermocirculator tubing kit; amplifiers; and software.
2. Select Inserts
P2300 series inserts fit the Standard and Rat systems; P2400 series inserts fit the Low Volume systems.
3. Select thermocirculator (if needed)

The VCC Amplifiers
The VCC-MC family of voltage/current clamps and accessories are designed as flexible tools for studying ion transport across epithelial tissue.
The VCC-MC family is of particular benefit in high throughput, multi-channel applications and where laboratory bench space is limited. All models provide similar capabilities and specifications to control voltage or te current across the epithelium. However, unlike the VCC-600, these clamps are modular in design.
VCC amplifiers now required the inclusion of an Optional Gain Control feature. Be sure to include this when you order. (See the Pricing & Ordering tab.)
The VCC-MC2 contains two voltage/current clamp modules, a pulse generator, and a computer interface in a compact 9.5 inch chassis.
This amplifier is best suited for small scale applications and for student laboratories. It is compatible with all chamber systems offered by Warner. Each VCC-MC2 comes complete with two single channel input modules (DM-MC6).
The VCC Multichannel
The VCC-MC6 and VCC-MC8 are multichannel chassis that can be configured with 2-8 voltage/current clamp channels, depending on model and offer the advantage of expandability within a single instrument chassis. These instruments are ideally suited for experiments where multiple specimens are sampled in parallel.
A useful feature built into the VCC Multichannel instruments is a master control section. This section enables the investigator to quickly change the function, mode, and meter settings on all clamp modules from a single switch bank. This simplifies the use of the instrument and removes some of the tedium associated with continually having to change multiple identically placed switches on many channels.
The VCC-MC family of amplifiers utilizes standard 2 mm pin-tip jacks for connection to electrode leads. Connections are facilitated by the use of input modules. The necessary modules are supplied with the VCC amplifiers, and each clamp channel/Ussing chamber required a unit. Input modules are compatible with both EasyMount and Harvard/Navicyte chambers.
The DM-MC6 is a single channel input module that can be mounted close to individual chambers. It connects to modular plugs on the rear of the VCC-MC instruments via a shielded cable. The module also contains an integral dummy membrane that is activated by an integral slide switch.
Dummy membranes are useful both for quickly verifying the operating status of the instrument and as a learning aid for students.
The DM-660 is a single channel dummy membrane for use with the VCC-600. A similar dummy membrane is built into the DM-MC6 input module for the multi-channel clamps.
The DM-6 is a 6-channel dummy membrane for the VCC-MC6 and VCC-MC8 amplifiers. Each dummy membrane may be individually manipulated. The DM-6 connects to the VCC-MC6 and VCC-MC-8 via an EP-MC6 flat cable assembly. It runs on six AAA batteries
