MouseOx Plus Complete System

The MouseOx®Plus Pulse Oximeter provides real–time, continuous measurements of arterial O2 saturation, pulse strength, respiratory rate, blood flow, and respiratory effort. This non-invasive pulse oximeter is designed to work with neonatal mice through adult rats.

The MouseOxPlus® easily allows researchers to titrate mechanical ventilation and monitor depth of anesthesia. Available modules expand system capabilities to measure temperature and work with multiple animals. All these measurements are done via a non-invasive sensor that was specially developed to provide accurate measurements for heart rates from 90 to 900 BPM.

• System software (basic or premium) calculates and displays:
    - Arterial Oxygen Saturation (SpO2)
    - Heart rate

    - Temperature (with optional sensor; for unconscious subjects only)
    - Activity (optional)
• Multiple subject monitoring (up to 16 animals) with the addition of multiplexer
    and cables
• Conscious Monitoring Module enables the MouseOxPlus® to lock onto freely
    moving subjects and provides general activity level information
• Optional Temperature Module for anesthetized subjects

Software
• Basic application software (for monitoring only) is included with all MouseOxPlus® oximeters. It includes
    basic monitoring and parameters alarms for all vital signs measured by the systems.
• Premium application software provides monitoring with data analysis and storage. It is included with
    premium systems (72-8018 and 72-8019) or available as an upgrade (72-8012). Premium software
    enables trending charts, real time recording options, event/file markers, and quick averaging for
    feature checking. It is also required for conscious monitoring and multiple animal monitoring. Not necessary
    for using STARR-link analog output box.

All systems include:

Requires PC or Laptop with USB 2.0 port, box has analog pulse output (BNC) for later Heart Rate calculation.

• 2 MRI mouse thigh clips
• 2 MRI rat foot clips

The MouseOx®Plus System must be purchased separately.
