Bilayer Perfusion System (BPS-2)

Bilayer Perfusion System (BPS-2)

Improved design!

The BPS-2 Bilayer Perfusion System incorporates several advancements on the older BPS-1 Perfusion System. Most notable is the new 'perfusion head' which dramatically improves the ease of use of this critical component.

  • Complete gravity-feed system
  • Quiet operation
  • High volume flow rates possible
  • One-handed positioning into chamber
  • Compatible with manual or vacuum based aspiration strategies

It is now a simple matter to position the perfusion system for rapid
deployment when solution BPS-2 perfusion headexchange times are short (such as immediately following a vesicle fusion event). The perfusion head can be quickly manipulated with one hand and it 'remembers' its settings between uses.

The BPS-2 employs a magnetic base allowing it to be conveniently placed directly onto the SPIN-2 bilayer stirplate or other compatible platform. The placement of the perfusion head immediately adjacent to the bilayer cup/chamber stabilizes and simplifies its operation.

The BPS-2 is comprised of the new bilayer perfusion head, a 60 ml solution reservoir with reservoir stand, a 30 ml aspiration syringe, and all the small parts needed to assemble the complete system.
